Hmmm.... a derogatory name for an Asian girl who like to party and dress like a slut and date white men. What's not to love? :?

It's only derogatory if you're offended by it, I don't get offended by Ang Mo.

There's nothing wrong with liking to party.

You're painting them all with the same brush with your "dress like a slut" comment.

Nothing wrong with preferring white men, everybody has a preference.

thing is, SPG still carries a derogatory tone to it regardless of the recipient's feelings towards it or the woman's attitude towards dating caucasians--mostly a label society finds convenient. ang moh, however, has become a term of endearment.

It's actually no different than many other Countries, where women want to party the night away and have a good time with foreigners.

The night clubs in Germany, Denmark and other European cities call them groupies, chasing the foreign talent but in all honesty, they are entitled to do what they want, with whom they want. In the UK most would call them sluts, very disrespectful and not warranted

London, you have to be a bit of a socialite to get an invite and be very liberal in thought, not suited for all and that's why bigotry is rampant, with double standards too, especially from males, that are hunting and call them sluts.

Male chauvinism and jealousy will always be around.

I treat them all with respect, they are human and fun loving, equality should be for all though many women hate them or afraid of the competition and become very bitchy  it's like one female on heat, with a bunch of raunchy guys, that's when the disrespect starts....like i say double standards from the guys, and they cannot always get the girls, hence the slagging match.

Many guys are tossers after a few bevvies, I've seen it happen many times

According to Wikipedia:

Sarong Party Girl (also known as SPG) is a derogatory term used in Singapore and (to a lesser extent) in Peninsular Malaysia.
It describes a local, solely Asian woman (e.g., a Chinese or Malay girl) who usually dresses and behaves in a provocative manner, and who exclusively dates and prefers white men.

There were a few intense discussions initiated by someone who called herself SPG in the other Singapore Expat website, but it eventually got locked down by the moderators because there are too many insults flying around.

Guys have it lucky, because technically we're all sluts by definition... just for being male. :)

One thing I recall about the SPG term was that the chick is also strongly tanned, something which I never understood as to why it has to be part of the "I like to party, I prefer white men" package.

Are there the male equivalent, i.e sarong party boys? Where do they hang out?

People use SPG terms broadly these days, anyone tanned and dating a white guy is usually referred to as one behind one's back.

Some of the places at Orchard Towers have apparently been infiltrated by them too, so watch out. :)

No other way to know for sure unless your hand goes between them legs, otherwise they can have you fooled.
