Goods and Services Index / COLA

Post by smileyface » Tue, 02 Mar 2010 3:25 am

Hi
I am hoping recent expats from Australia could help me benchmark the Australia to Singapore Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA). Is a 1.06 Goods & Services Index (i.e Goods and Services are generally 6% more expensive than Australia) sufficient? Feels low to me - is any one able to reference any external data sources e.g September 2009 ECA or Mercers data from their recent experience?
Many thanks :)

smileyface - yes, but Mercer do charge for the data.. And yes, there are external data sources available. But please, do some homework, and don't ask for the information that you or your company has to pay for. That's a bit rude to Mercer, not to mention their confidentiality and copyright.
