Phew, I'd been away from the PC over the weekend, my my this thread has really grown!

Hmm JR8 you might want to reconsider the complaint you had, in hind sight this guy has contributed in exposing the reality of things.

Like SMS and many rightly said, there are some really nice people around here and I wouldn't definitely generalise that this could be the way all the Citizens feel, but sadly it's heading in that direction.

To have a sneak peek about the reality of this friction, you might want to take a look at one of the prominent and kind of official Singapore Forum called STOMP; the stuff that's posted there is more vulgar and racist (in almost every post, there are Sporeans taking a dig at people from PRC and else where) that's very disheartening to say the least! Descendants from the same clan, putting down people just because now the Geography is different!
Perhaps the youth here have got the definition of DEBATE wrong. SAD is the word!

In comparison to that forum, our's is a much Sanitized one, thanks to the Moderators around here. =D> =D>

Hahaha. Descendants of the same clan, I like that. It doesn't matter where you were born. What matters is where some of your dead ancestors came from 200 years ago. Since all humans came from Africa, does that mean that me and you are descendants of the same clan as well. Euuuwww......that is one disgusting thought.

Eau2011,

It doesn't function. It never has. It's just like lip gloss, looks pretty from a distance but upon closer inspection, behind those glossy lips are a lot of rotten teeth and bad breath. Unfortunately, most of it comes from the majority race which is sad because there are some very nice people here as well. Instead of magnanimous, some of them are a malignant tumors eating away at the core fabric of this nation, hidden beneath the glossy veneer that the foreigners are presented with. Occasionally, ones like breedmon, surface to give the world a glimpse of what else this country is made of. :(
Haha for what it is worth, this is your most meaningful post ever. This criticism about Spore is quite true.

But seriously, look at your forum. It is filled to the brim with bitter losers and BS. Just look at how many Sporeans care to post here regularly? Just three. "EV" is obviously posting to advertise his business. The other "Mad scientist" is obviously an expired illiterate nut case, quite like yourself. The third, "WIMH", I don't know why she is posting here seriously since she does sound like she has a functioning brain.

The other expat forum, while having quite a lot of losers as well, is less filled with BS.

Wrong on both counts... again.

You and your Indian lover both sound like you got shafted by us Singaporeans real bad. Haha.

BBC English education? Haha, balls.
You really are a numbskull. Go and read what you've written, if you're able to scroll with your arm weighted down by that big ol' chip on your shoulder. I almost feel sorry for you after reading this last post. It's clear to me that you have some really big issues and need help.

SMS, your analogy was a good one. It's pretty shocking what goes on behind the thin veneer of the multi-cultural wonderland. I never fully grasped how bad it is till I met my partner - and oh, the stories I could tell. I'm guessing you would've seen some things over the years too... :(

Maybe you should go and read what was written. But even if you do do so, I doubt you are smart enough to process it.

Big issues? Nah. I just have the ability to put reason before pride, something which you obviously cannot do.

Both you and SMS are right in this respect. I guess this is one of the rare occasions either of you are right on something. You might as well go pop a champagne or something. Singapore is not a country. It is a country in transition. There is no thin veneer. LKY has said it himself. There is still no common language, no common identity and no common culture in Singapore. This is made worse by the influx of 2 million foreigners, mostly Chinese speaking.

Hope that helps.

I hope the reality won't upset me too much after I have seen it with my own eyes. Anyway we won't stay here the rest of our lives.

My husband told me that some MNCs are also considering to move their ASEAN or APAC headquarters to other countries, e.g. Daimler (Mercedes)...

Breedmon, you are a disgrace to us locals and for your info, i do not need more business, as our regular corporate clients have been keeping us really busy for the past 2 years.

I wonder if you are promoting SG or really just harming her, but i would bet my last bottom dollar that it is the latter. Geez..
You do not comprehend what these people here have written in reply to your posts, and just continue to be racial, rude and irritating.

Oh and before you say it, i do not need to impress anyone. Period.

As a local, I am truly ashamed. :(

No need to be ashamed. It's not you. It's a goofus whose Momma unfortunately didn't teach him any better. "Up Against the Wall, Redneck Mother".

Breedmon ; I have been keeping quiet and not wanting to get involve as this is your bloody fight and you pick a bloody fight with the people here.
I am not here to rock the boat like you. I am here to help those that need help. I have alot on my plate that I can swallow right now with the issues that need to be addressed. I really do not care how you progress or choose to commit yourself. YOU really need to see anger management specialist. Inciting racial hatred is a NO GO in any place
Apparently you are NOT one of them who needs help. You have already helped yourself by digging your own bloody grave
I am a nut case but at least I know I am one. What about you ?
Tell you what , it is easy to track you down and have you sent to section 55 or section 19 or how about cyberspace penal code. Remember the two young blokes whom create racial tension in the net last year.
Just let me know and I will get it done
Don't push your luck as you do not know what is coming. You do NOT know who you are dealing with especially with me.

Post subject: was Singaporeans Speak Singlish
yes we know.
And my initial post.......

That one is an intelligent one! How do I know? Because he didn't type anything at all. He already knows he got nuttin' worth saying.

And the idjit on the video who was surfing this site, well, I loved his percentages of English speakers in the home! English speakers in the home? Try singlish speakers in the home. They speak and write singlish in the work place so why would they revert to English at home? And who was calling it "English" in the home? SingStat? Who doesn't know sh*t from shinola. They think because somebody says in a survey that they speak "English" at home then it's the gospel? :ROFLMAO:
It is pitty that the vedio on youtube can not be view any more...

I'm not a gambling person but if I were I'd say that in 5 year's time, the influx Singapore has enjoyed to date will be redirected elsewhere, and a lot that has been built up - infrastructure, the nouveau riche, the offshored centers based here, egos, wallets, etc. - will go almost as fast s they came.

It's already too expensive and there are other alternatives, and companies like Eau2011 mentioned, well, it's already started.

I haven't read his book and probably won't invest the time to, but from what I've read about LKW's latest tome, it speaks to this very thing.

SMS, your analogy sounds a lot like the one they were rightfully giving Palin not too long ago...
