Dear All,
I am us citizen, and we would like to move to singapore with my family.
What is the best option?
How do i get the work pass?
I am eligible to get permanent residence (which i heard from a friend)
Please advice your experience or any leads?
Many thanks and have a great week

I would suggest you spend a week researching the threads on this board. After that, should you have any unanswered questions please post them specifically and we will do our darnedest to accommodate you. We love helping those who try to help themselves.
To put it short, you need either a job offer to get an employment visa or a provable income base of at least 7K/mo. Again, in both cases it's up to MOM to grant them and since Sept 09 things have tightened up considerably so there still is no guarantee. Don't quite you US job until you have both a job offer AND a IPA (In Principle Approval) from MOM.
You cannot apply for PR unless you go via the LPR (landed permanent resident) scheme (that will cost you around 1500usd through SMC (google it) otherwise, you will need to work for about 6 months before you can apply for PR. That also, has no guarantee.
