That's the whole problem with trying to carry on a discussion on this topic isn't it. It's what I've been saying here for years. It's not the accent. It's all about poor grammar, diction & sentence structure (actually that the real problem, not structure at all - English structure that is). This is why singlish will never be like "American" or "British" or "Australian" English. That's why the pidgin is called singlish just like the pidgin in Papua New Guinea is called Tok Pisin.
