Has anyone had MOLE REMOVAL done?

Post by FrozenSunshine » Fri, 26 Feb 2010 8:33 pm

I'd like to check has anyone had their mole removed by some beautician?

Today I finally gave in and hope that my 13 black flat moles on my face (yes really a lot) would be removed successfully. I went to the one at Toa Payoh central, it's a shop that does eyebrow plucking, facial threading, pigmentation and mole removal services.

The thing that the beautician used on me was some kind of electronic pen, the pen is connected to a small machine that stated "skin massaging". When she used the electronic pen to remove my moles, it gave me those electronic shock feel and it's quite painful, and it gives out a burning smell. :-/

The procedure lasted 15 minutes and when she show me the mirror, OH MY GOD the black moles seems bigger?! I looked closely to the mirror and realised each mole is filled with "chao ta" (burn ash). She told me is like that because of the electronic pen, and she reassured me that after 5-7 days the chao ta stuff will form as an extra skin and it will drop off and there won't be any moles anymore. She also gave me a small bottle of Vitamin A & D emollient ointment for me to apply 1 week. She also said that if after 1 week my mole is still there, I can come back again and she will do for me for free.

Has anyone been through this kind of mole removal treatment by using the electronic pen stuff before? I'm very worried that the chao ta thing will not go away, cause the chao ta inside each mole looks bigger than my original mole size! :(

Sorry for the long post, and thank you for taking time reading and answering it!

Petrov, you can quit with the useless one-liners. You have enough to send your PM now.

if going for those $5 per mole treatment make sure they don't 'laser' it too deep, otherwise, there will be scar.

Hi all, I have a slightly protruding mole located on the middle of my nose bridge. I have been researching on mole removal procedures. Which is advisable for this type of moles? Laser therapy or surgical excision? Will either method leave a scar? I wish to find a reliable professional doctor. Anyone has any recommendations? Thank you!
