Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and Singtel MIO advice

Post by snaw » Thu, 25 Feb 2010 2:42 pm

Hi all,

I've got a Singtel Mio package (In prep for EPL) football next year, and just discovered my Set top box doesn't record, and Singtel charge for this.

Before I go ahead and go with this DVR, I'm wondering if anyone else out there uses a different DVR (TIVO?) they can recommend.

Also I'm getting conflicting accounts from people saying that yo can't record some channels on Singtel (Football being one of them). Can anyone confirm if this is the case?

Thanks in advance, any advice appreciated.

I'm looking at mio for the same reason (EPL) but it's not available in my area yet - they say August. With Starhub, I did not use their dvr, I use my PC to schedule and record and I will be looking to do the same with Mio, but have not found the EPG (Electronic program guide) yet, but haven't seriously looked. The PC is a much better alternative if you have the will to set it up.
