Cub Scouts

Post by caro2211 » Thu, 25 Feb 2010 10:37 am

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a cub scout group for my son who is aged 8? He used to be in the Beavers back in the UK and really enjoyed it so would like to look into joining here. I have looked at the Singapore Scouts website but there are so many groups I don't know where to start!
Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated - thanks!

I didn't start getting in them until my teens. Late starter I guess. :(

Isn't there any information offered through school? If you can't find a Singapore troop close to your home you can try

Hi caro2211!

Whereabouts do you stay? I'm an HQ Scouter with the Singapore Scouts and a former Asst Cub Scout Leader in the UK. We've just started a new open unit based in the Thomson area and we'd love to welcome you and your son - for more info see www.colugoscouts.org

Admittedly this unit is totally fresh - first Group meeting will be held on 14th March (meeting every other Sunday). There's a mix of Scouts, mostly from local schools, but my younger sis who's in UWCSEA will also be joining.

Drop me a PM if you're keen. I'll try my best to help your son get started, somewhere!
