Hi,
I was really hoping if there are any canadians out here who could help me in the easiest way of money transfer to canada.
I went to western union and they charge 50 dollars for each transfer.
I need to send on a monthly basis was hoping if there could be a way to do bank to bank transactions or somethn.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

What kind of sums do you need to send? Try a telegraphic transfer at any bank, they're quite cost-effective for larger amounts.

Yeah I send a 'telegraphic transfer' every 2 months. It costs about $30 no matter the amount at DBS bank. Not sure if you need to be a customer with them though. If you want a 'regualr transfer of a set amount' the bank will do that for you but it still costs the same. Although my Welsh friend got it done monthly for free with HSBC for her first year with that bank. As to us doing our own online transfer from local bank here to foreign bank at home, with DBS or HSBC no can do. Not sure about other banks.

Citibank global transfers is possibly the cheapest option.
You can transfer money internationally between citibank accounts to 27 countries, including canada & australia from Singapore free of charge.
Money is converted at citibank's conversion rates.

The charges will be pretty murderous percentagewise for a sum that small. Try PayPal.
