Visa required for 6 months mission in Singapore?

Hi all,

I currently work for a French company who is sending me in Singapore for 6 months on a short term contract basis (meaning I'll remain employed in France and be actually working in Singapore).
Can you please tell me if, under these conditions, I need to apply for an employment pass?
If yes, do you have any idea about the price for such a visa?
