data plan on prepaid starhub service for BlackBerry

Post by agopal » Thu, 04 Feb 2010 5:58 pm

Has anybody explored this option?? The website for Starhub states that its possible but the Starhub customer care is completely clueless on the same. They have no idea as to how the process is...!!

My question here is that can i have the prepaid data plan for BB while retaing my current prepaid number or do i need to purchase a new simcard and change my number in order to activate the data plan for prepaid.

It says to call *122# and follow the instructions to activate this service, so you might as well give it a go from your current number. The question is do you really want to pay $25/mth to get just 1GB of data outside of email usage?

Well, its $19 if its a postpaid plan and that is over and above the voice plan that i take. So it makes much more sense(monetarily) to have the data plan on my existing prepaid card. Coz i do need a data plan and the usage would not exceed 1GB(atleast i hope it will not).....

I think your email usage might actually be free and not counted towards the 1GB. Or maybe it's the wording of the small print next to the asterisk that is confusing me.

Sounds like a good deal then. Pity they haven't prepared a special pre-paid plan for iPhone users... ;)
