Aircon servicing/cleaning/repairs

Post by macaroonie » Tue, 02 Feb 2010 8:55 am

Who pays for the aircon serving / cleaning / repairs? Is this different for a HDB compared with a condo?

Look at your TA as it should be clearly stated in there. The vast majority of the time, Air-Con servicing is the responsibility of the tenant and the LL may ask for a copy of the service contract as proof.

Far too expensive, you should look to pay about $25 per unit from a reputable company, maybe slightly less

It's hard to judge. We went for a company that charged less per unit, but then they were always having to do chemical cleans and re-gassing and it always ended up costing heaps. The company we use now does six for $200 and I've never had to pay more. They're Xin Wen Engineering.

Just calculated and we actually pay $30 per unit with no extra hidden costs, but what I like about the company I use is that they always guarantee me the first slot on a Saturday morning.

for the maintenance, clean up, etc, it is usually the tenant who has to pay.
What about repairing it?

Let say the compressor is broken and need to be replaced, who should pay for the compressor replacement?

thanks
