Does HDTV from United States works in Singapore?

Hi,

I'm planning on bringing my Sony HDTV to Singapore. However, the stores here say that the broadcast format is different between the U.S. and Singapore.

Does anyone know about this or better yet, have any experience in bringing an HDTV from the United States to Singapore?

singapore is PAL, US is NTSC. unless your TV is multi-system, you wont be able to use it in singapore.
