Post by caterpie » Mon, 01 Feb 2010 5:03 pm

Hi everyone...

My hubby is planning to go for biopsy testis in Singapore.
Could anyone give us recommendation for which doctor has very good experience with it?

Please share with us and any information given will be very valuable to us.

Thanks,
Caterpie

Hey

I am not sure if you are a PR or not. But you can get good service in NUH for urology testing and you do not have to spend a fortune. If I am not wrong if you are a PR you can get a subsidy. Even if you are not one it will be definitely cheaper compare to private practise.

Take car and godspeed

http://www.urology.com.sg/eng/index.htm he seems to know what he is doing plus theres always a Q in the waiting room which is good sign.

The best bit when I went for a check up, there was a young nurse whose job was to lather your bits in KY jelly and run an ultrasound machine over it.

That alone makes the trip worthwhile.

Hi

Not sure if she is still at NUH. But friend who I accompanied went to see a GP and was referred to NUH. When to the NUH specialist clinic(I can't recall the nameof the clinic.) and had an appointment with this doctor Dr. Belinda. ( I think she is an Indian). Made several trip as my friend was abit on the shy side. Had one I think Omega scan which was pretty state of the art thing and several tests . Had the ops later on and recovered. I did not follow him after the initial visits. But again the cost was substantial . Fortunately the Medisave and Medisave Insurance covered it.
I think if you have medical insurance which allows for overseas prognosis and diagnosis and the ops itself , you should be OK.
Again this is my assumption as it was done 15 years ago, this is the website www.nuh.com.sg . Call them to check if this service is provided.
Take care and my prayers is with your family'[-o<'
