Post by bbzmax » Tue, 06 Jul 2010 3:48 pm

Hi all,

I'm looking for someone who is willing rent their snow ski and pole for a day for a photo shoot as props.

I have tried Snow City but they only do internal renting, anybody can help ?

Regards

We're going to NZ in second half of Sept.
Bought Jetstar to Auckland 16.09-05.10 for only 500$ incl. tax and luggage.
Will do snowboarding first week. At the moment 3 people are going. Expecting to join around 2 more. After 1 week we'll rent a camper van and will travel around NZ.

BTW my level is not newbie. More like upper intermediate (slopes, freeride, forest), but my 3rd person is kinda newbie. My wife is intermediate (slopes only).
Anyone is welcome! But if someone can give some freestyle lessons it will be great ;)

Went to Melbourne (Mt Buller) in August last yr and it was fab!!

Tons of powder!!

Seems that Aust is getting loads of snow these days and ski season is extended most of the time.

Note: if you intend to bring your own food to micorwave, head to the base of the ski lifts, there is a little restaurant which allows you to use their microwave.

We only discovered it AFTER we spent an hr heating up our food in hot water in our basin!

Just arrived in Singapore after spending a season at Courchevel, and I'm already itching for a bit of skiing and snowboarding again! I guess I've chosen the wrong place to relocate - this heat is really getting to me!

Anyway, just thought I'd post and register my interest in case anyone is planning any trips later this year.

Hey sorry guys - haven't checked on this thread for long.

Went Mt Buller Sept 2010 too! I probably went too late for the season, snow got thin & wet. Much was manmade so didn't spend much time carving lines in the snow. Nevertheless, the cold weather made my trip worth. Actually, anything cooler than our warm & humid Singapore will be worth it =P

Also did Niseko Village in January 2011 & spring ski in Tahoe in May 2011.

Niseko's the usual awesome powder plus powder plus heaps of powder.

Tahoe's the one that surprised me greatly - thought that snow wouldnt be any good under the 'spring ski' category but man i was so wrong. Yes, got sunburnt pretty badly (didn't expect that) but the snow was sooooo good. Fell alot but had a blast!

Any plans for trips Q4 this year? So looking forward to next trip!

Hey everyone.

I'm currently planning a trip to Japan for the end of Feb, start of March. the pow is supposed to be unreal and a friend of mine is working in a chalet over there. I've had a quick look and flights are not too expensive. If anyone else is interested let me know.

I'm from the UK, snowboarder and have a done a few seasons in France and the US. If anyone wants to meet up for some snow chat drop me a message!!

The link is where my friend is working, i may be able to get some discount.

Hey!

I'm a noob in snowboarding and will be going alone to Kiroro to snowboard 15-18 March.

Am prepared to do some dumb stuff and look stupid on the slopes but if there's some company (even just for a few hours) will give me the extra push.

So if anyone happens to be there during the same time, let's meet on the slopes!
