Best Days for Wet Market

Post by hbw65 » Mon, 25 Jan 2010 5:15 pm

Just wondering what people thought the best days to go to the wet markets were? I've heard that on Wednesdays the fish get taken to the restaurants/markets so it's best to go Tuesday morning for freshest selection.

If you really want fresh fish , go to Pasir Panjang Wholesale market in the wee morning. You will definitely get more than you can bargain for !!and it is cheap. Though it meant for the stalls you can buy it from the sellers there. Another place is at Sembawang Port

by the way, if you guys don't know, NTUC finest offer quite a good choice of the food that you need instead of going to the wet market...

I never go Mondays and definitely busiest before a long holiday weekend IE. Chinese New Year. Tekka Market is wonderful, renovated and lots of wonderful selection.
