Moving to Singapore; Need help regarding Condo

Post by somesh » Mon, 25 Jan 2010 4:53 pm

Hi all, am relocating to Singapore in March with an E-pass. We are a family of 4 (Mom,wife, myself and brother) and are looking for a 2+1 apartment preferably in East Coast. My budget would be SGD2,500-3,500 per month rent. Have chosen east-coast as I've heard its better for families, especially Indian families with a host of amenities. Should I be looking at any other areas too? Any suggestions in East coast or elsewhere?

Also, my office would be at Church street, Capital square. Whats the mode of travel from East coast to church street and how long would it take? Thanks

You might be able to find a nice place in east coast for that. If you want to be close to the MRT expect the upper ranges of your budget though. Travel times from east coast by MRT to raffles place are below 30 minutes (unless you go upper east coast, that might go to 45 then).

If you want closer to the park area, no MRT lines, but a lot of bus lines go straight to town. Don't know commute times then, but since it's Singapore, can't be much more then 45 minutes, where ever you live, and how bad traffic can get ;)
