Advice on long-term storage of clothes

Post by hmmbug » Wed, 20 Jan 2010 9:55 pm

Hi all,

My job has recently finished in SG and I'll shortly be leaving for a 6 month career break before returning to look for work again. I'll need to put some household items into storage while I'm away, including some clothes.

Given the hot/humid climate here I'd appreciate any advice you can give for long-term clothes storage (eg. preventing mold/smelliness etc) as this is not something I've done before...

Thanks,
Mark

I want to travel around southeast asia in September and want to leave my whole luggage somewhere in Singapore to pick it up again when I´m back in a month. Is there a place somewhere I can store 1 large suitcase?

There are a couple of storage facilities listed in my links page below.

I would never store something of value for 6 months in this climate a $2 Daiso bag. You need proper storage. Check the links SMS provides or find a friend with extra air-conditioned closet space.
