Which is a better option?

Post by chelsea0816 » Mon, 18 Jan 2010 3:22 pm

Hi,

I'll be going on a trip with my bf for 2 weeks, but i really have no idea which is better or what can we do there...

We're looking into a place where we can relax and just enjoy each other's company. Wouldn't want to be fighting a "war" with the locals everyday! :S
(We backpacked in Vietnam and it was really energy consuming...)

Option 1: Redang & Taman Negara
Option 2: Phuket & Bankok

Any suggestion on where is better, what to do or which part to go? We would love a bit of dancing/ pub, nature, nice beach and not too touristy..

Cheers in advance! :)

Have you considered Boracay? Google it. I've been there 6 days 2 years ago, and missed it so much! The white sand beach is beautiful, filipinos are friendly and speak english, cheap food and drinks, have some hills and nature around, night life is pretty "happening" as well.

Downer: Its a long way to get there. But since you have 2 weeks, its worth the journey!

Any places in Thailand that may be less touristy and not so commercialized as Bangkok? =)

Just come back from Krabi. It is very nice if you want to have beautiful beach as Phuket but less tourist. I stayed in Koh Lanta island. It is cheap food, many beautiful with reasonable price resort.

I see many couples going there for honeymoon.

Bali is another option.

There are many direct flight going to these places.
Sometimes, the greatest journey is the distance between two people.

Hi Castaway,

Thanks for your reply! Roughly how much is the resort or nice hostels per night? Any recommendation? (The resort you stayed in)

Does Krabi has any nightlife options such as bars or small places to dance?

Will staying there for about 6 days or so be too long? Hehe...

Thanks lot in advance! =)
