Coffee & Bread Shop

Post by ironlady » Sat, 16 Jan 2010 9:58 pm

What do you like about places like Ya Kun Kaya Toast or Toast box ?
Is there something that is missing from these places that should be added in, instead of customers being served just grilled bread and coffee ?

There is nothing that you can really do to differentiate yourself with this kind of shop. People don't travel to come visit a toast shop as they might for an acclaimed Italian restaurant.

People come to a toast shop because it is close and convenient. So, you need two things for success, at least. First, you must be in a place with good foot traffic, lots of lunch patrons or close to a major shopping mall. Second, you must appear to be fast and convenient.

Yes you would need a "Food & Beverage" license as well as a "Liquor" license. Start here:
