Mandarin Lessons

Post by schussman » Sat, 16 Jan 2010 3:08 pm

I would like to learn Mandarin but my days off can change from week to week :-(

Ideally I would need someone that can teach me on different days each week.

Is that person around and qualified ?

Cheers

P.S. Have seen some posts where it has descended into name calling about who are true native speakers and who are not. Do not want to open up another can of worms so please dont post if just a slagging off.

Are you native English speaker ? If yes, I am interested in langudge exchange. I am native Chinese. I want to improve my English pronounciation and accents. I can teach you Mandarin.

schussman,

Mandarin tuition, piano lessons, and fly-by-night realtors are our bane on this forum. realtors, for the obvious reason (this board is owned by a real estate company).

As regards the other two (and also car salesmen/rental agents) we are all for "Recommendations" from other satisfied uses (other regulars of this board who have used them and would recommend them to their friends).

We don't, however, allow responses from newly registered users who stand to gain financially from the recommendation. Those who are soliciting for their own company or soliciting for a financial gain. Those we axe when we find them. Be aware the there is a big difference between recommending your own company (advertising) and a recommendation from someone who has actually used the service.

I think this forum should have a separate section on language lessons/exchanges, courses, etc.

I would think there is enough demand for this kind of information to warrant a section of its own

If we did that we would end up with 200 different forums to cater for everybody's perceived "needs". Nah, not a good idea. - moderator
