Easter in Singapore

Post by TravelingTexans » Tue, 12 Jan 2010 9:14 am

Hi, please share with me what your Easter experiences have been like in Singapore. We are moving to Singpaore mid-March, just in time to celebrate my daughter's first Easter. She obviously is too young for hunting eggs but wanted to see if anyone knows if it will be possible to find either a person dressed up as a bunny or a real bunny that I can get her picture with (we plan to attend one of the churches that was recommended to us so please don't think we are neglecting the true meaning of Easter).

Thanks in advance for any insight you may have on celebrating Easter in Singapore with little ones!

Hi!
easter is not a big holiday season in singapore. if you 're looking for eggs etc you will need to visit a Market Place early as their easter stock sells out quickly and the local supermarkets have very little easter stock, if any at all.
If anyone does know of a place that has a dressed up easter bunny, i would also be interested to find out where.
all the best
Susan

Easter bunnies and churches

Post by handbelljoe0112 » Thu, 21 Jan 2010 4:04 pm

My church (Cairnhill Methodist Church) has a older youth dressed as an Easter bunny almost every Easter. i'm not too sure about this year, but i think we my have one.

Mostly the tradition of Easter is practiced in churches and christian mission schools, like the methodist and catholic schools here. few places celebrate the true meaning of easter and mostly count on the Easter bunny.

if you want more info you can email me at [email protected]
