Hongkong for CNY

Post by chixchix » Fri, 08 Jan 2010 6:19 pm

Hi does anyone know if the shopping centres are open for business during the CNY period. I was thinking of bringing my kids there for the festive season.

Is it nice to go during this time ?Any fireworks etc ?

HK lives for shopping...... so that answers that question.
Yes there are fireworks.

And it might be quite cold.

Historically CNY is regularly the coldest part of the year but it has already been quite cold so far this year meaning it might now not get THAT cold but will be chilly instead.

If you haven't got your flights sorted yet then do a double check on them first because they tend to get a) full b) expensive.
