Siloso Beach Molest by India foreign talents

Post by Amit Ram » Wed, 06 Jan 2010 8:17 pm

This has created a big hype and have caused a bad image for local Indians which is very sad, one will not analyse whether one is a local born or a foreigner , but will just state as Indian when noticed a brown skin and turban ,instead of upholding our values as good ambasadors , some bad eggs like the 5 of them caught for the acts are spoiling the good image of us , hope they will be dealt severely esp being in a country like Singapore where law and order is very strict

no i do not think so, it apply to the chinese as well, one china nationals was caught for running brothel in clementi and Bukit Panjang , so does that image apply to the local chinese as well?
the new India nationals becoming new singaporeans must uphold the good work of the local born Indians and not spoil the image, just because some Bagladeshi and some India nationals commit the mistake, the entire Indians image is at stake

What those guys did was utterly disgusting. I dont need think any Singaporean would have done something like this.

From the main plump guy who was busy holding the girl, his dressing looked like he wasnt a local. Hope they get caught soon.

Anyway, I wonder why that girl had to be in a bikini and so highly drunk that she cant take care of herself.

Sad.. :(
Always have a smile on that face!

their looks, dressing and movement is obvious.
One guy seem to be Bangaldeshi and the other a Sikh and the 5th guy very typicall India National. Such an incidents is not the first time though, very common in areas like Boat Quay where most of them involved are local chinese youths, but such issues will be kept silent , even if it were to be published, it will be stated "some young guys are caught and etc" wheras for this issue, the media published the term "INDIANS" in block letters, so you see their motive, if a chinese get involve in a similar incident it will be treated as another crime, wheras if an Indian were to get involve, it will be the topic of the day . Furthermore for the deeds of some foreigners local singaporean Indians are bombarded and there is a word war in local forum with regard to this issue, all this becz of the 5 monkies

I think your skin is too thin, if you catch my drift.

Don't forget, we've even got a INDIAN president here. Amit, things are tough all over. All races get tarred with the brush at times as do all Singaporean get tarred with certain brushes as well. We all do. It's part and parcel of life. As long as you walk the walk and talk the talk, you wont have a bad name. Hell, in America where the Indian diaspora is a strange mix you have doctor & IT persons on one side and 7-11 cashiers on the other. How would you classify? See, it's not all black and white but shades of grey. Lighten up. I mean the figuratively and not literally.
 :P

those 5 fellows must be banned from entering the country if found guilty but till now no complain from any female or shemale so it could also be that the lady was enjoying and could be going on the flow as she was not struggling or pushing anyone away which is an instant reaction for anyone getting molested and also that if this video was created for a tension stiring purpose, he/she responsible must be canned and fined severely for causing such problems online

Why? You want to cane every newspaper journalist in the world? They all write with a slant that is more than just reporting the news. Actually, it's like shopping. Do you believe everything you read or see? If so, don't go see movies (docudramas) that play with history. For that matter, don't even go see avatar as you might even believe that. Most people can discern something for what it is and sensationalism is part of every movie posters bag of tricks. If there weren't any sensationalism, there wouldn't be hardly anything to talk about. Watching news clips is a exercise in trying to figure out what you didn't see because of the cameraman's on P.O.V. which is what you are actually seeing and not always the whole picture.

I believe Mordecai can tell you more about that than I can.....

Amit I have seen you get hyper in a no. of cases. Yes this incident has brought bad name to Indians, but there are bad apples in every race, every country. The media has picked up this, it needs a frenzy to sell itself. Singapore a very race sensitive country, it knows will pick this issue. At the same time don't blame the media for sensationalizing this & demonizing Indians. Remember Ris Low, how she was made fun of, day in & day out, and she was a harcore Singaporean! Had she been some non Singaporean, people of that community would have cried hoarse racism?
We Indians carry a lot of baggage, of our failed politicians, how we have collectively failed our nation, what we should have been, but what we are. However on your own, do the right thing.
