Can I start work like art classes/tution from home?

Post by itsmesanju » Tue, 29 Dec 2009 11:45 am

Hi Friends,

I am new to Singapore. I am on DP. I would like to start some work like art classes/tuition classes etc @ my home. Is it allowed legally to start any work like this from home? What formalities are required to start such thing?

Please suggest.

To do this legally, you go to ACRA and set up a business as a DP. You then apply to MOM for a letter of consent to work in your business.

Note that you probably won't get a letter of consent for a tuition business, but may get one for art classes.
