California Fitness Buddy

Post by divine818 » Thu, 24 Dec 2009 6:10 pm

Hi,

I am looking for CF buddy for any branch (preferably at Orchard/raffles/bugis). I usually go to the classes after work at 630pm or 745pm. Feel more motivated to go if going with a friend :)

PM me if interested.

Cheers.

@epicus - i have the platinum package. allows me to go to any branch any time. what about you?

@trixiebella - that's what i heard too, but since i don't know anybody there, i can't comment any further. i usually just go to the classes, i don't notice any gays in the class or maybe i was too focused on the instructor. haha. the classes are usually crowded (well only the popular ones like bodycombat), but i found that this gives more motivation.

@epicus - mine is 90 bucks per month. quite expensive i'd say...but i guess it's cheaper than fitness first which is around 138 the last time i asked half a year ago.

divine - which branch do you frequent often? doing class or on your own?

platinum member here, frequent the raffles place branch most of the time .. well, actually haven't been to the gym for quite some time now

gay wise - its not only at the orchard branch, just open you eyes and you'll see it everywhere haha
but nah, they're nice people; once you get to know them, they'd even reserve a spot for you in class :)

Yup, SAFRA daytime (off-peak) membership, but it's limited to PR and Singapore citizens only.

For the commercial outfits, the rank in increasing quality (and price) is Cali -> True Fitness -> Fitness First. I was a Cali member for quite a few years and was happy with the price (supercheap prepaid rate) and the no-frills service, but jumped ship to SAFRA when it came time to renew and they wanted twice what I was paying previously. Cali is also pretty infamous for their hard sell of personal training, upgrades, etc.
