Application for Singapore Citizenship

I have been a permanent resident in Singapore for many years and I am planning to apply for Singapore citizenship. But the problem is, I relocated to another country a couple of months but I still kept my permanent residence status. Will it affect the approval of my application since I am not physically present in Singapore?

I really don't know, but.....

It might be hard to even justify still having PR if you are no longer in the country (it sounds like it's not a temporary work thing). If that be the case, in view of the stricter vetting of applications, etc. it may well be difficult. But I guess anything's possible, even if not probable.

Thanks for the information. Probably its much safer to apply for citizenship when I go back. This way, it is easier to justify =)
