Zilla, My husband and I are being transfered to Singapore in July both of us are active cyclist here in Perth. My Husband knows a bloke up in Singapore who rides with a group up there. When I find out a little more on the group where they start how far they go blah blah blah.... I will let you know other wise depending on your fitness level and how far you like to ride I would like to join you ( when I get there of course ) by the replies you may have even started up your own peloton by then.

thanks for the web sites Avid cyclist nice to see so many varied rides to choose from. We will be sure to try them out when we arrive. Just curious what are the road conditions like surfaces, traffic etc...We both ride road bikes ( Bianchi & Colnago). :)

Singapore has very good quality roads. However, they’re really crowded during peaks hours and motorists don’t normally make any allowance for cyclists so some do end up cycling on the pavements ! ! ! Early morning cycling’s ideal, especially Sundays. It’s much cooler then too.

My favourite places to cycle at are Pulau Ubin http://www.wildsingapore.com/ubin/places/cycling.htm and Upper Pierce reservoir. :D
Cyclings trips to Malaysia (http://www.rsyc.org.sg/photos/bicycle/; http://www.pbase.com/icky/) or Indonesia (http://user.chollian.net/~hwayon/sing/) are pretty common too.

One could also join the triathletes when they’re doing their cycling training.
Triathlon Association of Singapore (TAS) http://www.triathlonsingapore.org/

Thanks Avid cyclist we recognise the club kit from the Anzac cycling club as some of the guys in the bunch here have purchased them whilst riding up in singapore. All sounds good - a ride suited for all up there Im sure we will fit in nicely.

Nice to see they have a good triathlon scene too.
