Canelé or Canelé Molds in Singapore

Post by Girl_Next_Door » Fri, 11 Dec 2009 11:30 am

My bf loves Canelé but we can't find any place that sells them (not even from the Canelé Patisserie ironically!).

Anyway, I have two questions.
1) Anyone know of any place that sells Canelé in Singapore?
2) I thought I will bake them myself since I can't find them here. However, Amazon do not ship the silicone version of the Canelé Molds directly to Singapore. I checked the restricted list but I cant understand why its not allowed to be shipped directly to Singapore.

Anyone knows?

Thanks, I saw that as well actually. But they only have 2 molds. I need at least 6-8 molds (at least) and they should come from the same shop (you know, baking using different molds will have different outcomes, etc). And yes, they are not cheap... 1 copper mold cost around US$20 and take that multiply by 6.

I was thinking of getting the silicone version, but Amazon don't allow me to ship it directly. I am not sure if I will have any problem if I do it via vpost, but its just weird. I don't see any shops selling Canele or the molds, and wonder if there is a reason behind that.

try to google "Choupinette".
Thats a cafe at Bukit Timah road where I bought them before.
You can call them.

For Moulds: did you try "Pantry Magic" at Holland V. or Poon Huat ?
PROUT....the only way out !

I know Phoon Huat are selling them but maybe only when ordered directly from their main-office. (whole-sale)
They never carry all they have in their retail-outlets.

They are a main supplier to Hotels and Bakeshops.

Another one to try directly would be Culina or check with Siew Huat.
