Your best comedy movie ever
Your best comedy movie ever
Hi Friends,
Just wanted to know which movie you think was the best comedy ever for you. wanting to know if I missed on some good laughs.
As for me my best ever is "Dumb & Dumber". I think its a classic. The storyline, the acting, the music, timing of the music, everything just near perfect. Probably the last of the 'original' Jim Carrey before he got that chiselled look in the new movies.
The other funny movies I liked are History of the world, Naked Gun, Hot shots, Pink Panther(1), Little man.....

Difficult to say . . . definitely not slapstick (despite the reference above) or the 'pie in your face' type . . .vbelle wrote:Vaucluse..im curious what comedy you like?Vaucluse wrote:Completely not what I usually like . . . but Superbad has to be the worst of everything . . . so bad that it makes you laugh!
Definitely not my favourite ever, but I was roped into watching the dvd recently and it stuck in my mind
There are two comedians I quite like, Jimmy Carr - a British comedian, and probably Russell Peters - a Canadian Indian, or Indian-Canadian . . .
Yes, stand-up comedy as opposed to movies.
I'm flattered you asked, vbelle.
Is there a lot of stand-up comedy in the bahasa Melayu/Indonesia sphere?

I have four Russell Peters shows, Jimmy Carr (but he's not so good really. I don't really like him so much, very condesending), Jack Dee, Lewis Black (American and really good), Robin Williams is good, Chris Rock kills me, Peter Kay is okay, Rowen Atkinson live is brillant, Gabriel Iglesias and OF COURSE...... various Billy Connolly.
Good stand-up is where it's at but for movies, when i watch it in the cinema first The Full Monty simply had me floored.
The Cannonball Run and even Smokie & The Bandit were also good classic funny movies....... and no, I'm not THAT old

I dont like slapstick too...watched Hangover cause a friend drag me there..but i like it;pVaucluse wrote:
