Pei Tong Primary P3

Post by Huggan » Tue, 08 Dec 2009 7:51 am

I'm wanting to contact Boffenl about her daughters experience with Pei Tong Primary. We're trying to enroll our eight year old daughter there. She will sit the PACT exam on the 22nd of January and we were hoping to start her straight away. Is your daughter still at the school? How many expat students were there? We were told that there are a number of NUS families at the school. Do they have a forum?

Overall, my impression is that the local school system has been quite a positive experience for you. We have had our daughter in an International School which has been great but not sustainable, due to the fees. We're concerned that because of her previous schooling experience the transition to a local school may be too difficult.

I look forward to your response. Bye for now.

Yes, my daughter will be in the Pei Tong P3 class. There are a number of expat families there (20+ ang moh)--and many, many NUS families. Good luck on the exam.

I don't think she'll have much trouble--maybe academically, but that should even out after a few months of work too. Kids are kids, and the kids at Pei Tong are great. No forum that I know of, but you can at the front office, they might know something I don't re--parents involvement past the Parents Group.

Good luck with the test! We wouldn't choose anything different for our daughter, but she did begin on day one at Pei Tong, so it will be interesting to hear your child's experience.

Pei Tong Primary P3

Post by Huggan » Thu, 21 Jan 2010 12:04 pm

Hi there
My daughter has been accepted at Pei Tong and started there this month. I was wanting to make some sort of contact with other westerners/foreigners at the school. Is there a means of communicating inside/outside the school?

I'm really happy with the school and my daughter has meet a lovely canadian girl, plus some friendly local children which seems to have helped her transition into this new system. But I feel a little like a fish out of water and would appreciate any advice that you have to offer about meeting other western, or NUS families.

When I have asked my daughter about other Amor she says that she's only met 2.

Kind regards

Hi Laura,
Just replying to your message.
I've been really impressed with this school so far. But, it's early days.
Will keep you posted.
