Hi All,
I'm considering a job on Sentosa Island and was curious about living accomodation and transportation.
Is there affordable housing on Sentosa Island?
If living in a relatively central location on Singapore, roughly how long of a commute would be standard in rush hour?
What would be the commuting options after 11pm?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers.

Not in Sentosa...accomodation costs are steep within Sentosa island. Unless you are ready to pay rental in 5 figures.

By public transport it would be less an 20-30 mins , if you are staying withing the central singapore which is also called Central Business District.
Here as well the cost of accomodation is relatively high.
What would be the commuting options after 11pm?
One and only Taxi/Cab which runs by meters and touting is almost NIL.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers.

Agree cost to live on Sentosa is most expensive on the island there is no affordable accommodation unless you sleep on the beach which is propbably illegal. Commute from central is very quick by mrt from around central I would say 15-20 minutes to Harbourfront or Vivo but getting to Sentosa is the difficult part. If by car or bus then add more time. The road to sentosa is a nightmare and wont get better.
Your options are to catch public transport to vivo and catch the skytrain or take a cab or drive yourself.
Last train is about 11.50 pm from harbourfront northbound. When circle line is complete you will have more options to live and commute as well. Although there are a lot of buses that go to vivo. You didnt say where you are working? If your at the new resort, casino etc they may have a company bus transfer to vivo.

Thanks for the replies.
Any rough estimates for the cost of a taxi from Sentosa to the CBD after 11pm?

You may just want to compare mileage, I suppose. Tanjong Beach to Holland Village < 10 SGD. Factor in midnight and CBD charges afterwards then, I guess.
