I shall be moving to Singapore in January. I shall be alone and would like to be a quiet area but near to the area of shops and bars.
A 1 bed Apt with a maid would be ideal, any ideas ?

Apartments don't come already equipped with a maid like a washing machine and stove. Also 'quiet' and 'bars' don't actually exist together I don't think. But you can find a place anywhere on the island and still be only a maximum of 30~45 minutes from downtown using public transport.
