What about Boxing Day??

Postby Portsdown » Sat, 12 Dec 2009 12:04 am

You guys got plans for the 27th Dec :? ? I am reading so much from the thread about what, where and etc,etc for Christmas Eve and The Day and I have to admit.. I mean, hasnt anybody realised there's a Boxing Day, a longer weekend after Christmas ( The Day) as well in Singapore apparently..Geez, can it get any worse than this for recently divorced females (with a 8 yr old turning 18) like me.. Does some food, drinks, music and meeting people by the beach (East Coast Park beach anyway ) sounds tangible? Who's in??

Haha, 8 going on 18, sounds like the daughter of some friends of mine, I thought it had to do with the strange crap on TV these days.

I’d say that most new to Singapore would be thinking the same as you Portsdown, Christmas eve, Christmas day, boxing day, new years eve and new years day . what to do.
I am certainly thinking this, as I’ve only been here for 8 weeks, I'm sure there will be a few events happening. but I don't know of any myself.

the people I work with don't seem that fussed about the Christmas break, its all about Chinese new year for them

so no help from me, sorry, but if there are any events planned, or you have something in mind, count me in. always keen to join.
