Very good school, highly respected MBA, very pricey. If you can get in and have the necessary $ then your question should not be whether you should go to this school but whether you really want an MBA or whether you want to be more specialised and do a Masters in Finance or Economics or Marketing or whatever you are interested in at an other school.

I'm from Chicago. Didn't study there, but know of a few people who studied there. It is more well-known for its part-time MBA program, which many of my coworkers participate. If you are looking for full-time MBA programs in Chicago, also consider Northwestern. It's equally as good as UChicago and the other prestigious MBA programs. In fact, has been consistently ranked by the US News and World Report as the best Exec MBA program for years. See link: http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandr ... ss-schools

Have you applied already or still in the choosing phase? If it's the latter, do consider Northwestern as well.

Chicago B-School

I am a graduate of the Chicago business school, now know as Booth. I went to the Chicago campus, not the one in Singapore. However, the courses are exactly the same. I highly recommend this school. It was expensive and very difficult, but very rewarding. It is especially well known for Finance and Accounting, so if these fields interest you, I would say definitely apply. Northwestern is a very good school also. I'm not sure if they have a Singapore campus. Northwestern is best known for their marketing, but both schools are excellent, its just that one is best known for marketing and the other best known for finance. Both however are in the top ten for just about every aspect of business.

Admissions to the Singapore campus is very competitive. Do not be fooled into thinking that it would be easier here!
