Sciphone
anyone using the original sciphone? It's got phone on the back and 16GB nothing to do with apple, it was made up by a hardware company and a software company. Though many are being sold on ebay and are fake copies of sciphone. My guess is that apple will not contest it, due to costs and patents, that they may not own, it's been openly touted for sometime now. Made by FHC in Shenzan.

Hard to see what Apple would contest... look and feel?... an entirely worthless endeavor to undertake in China. You name an electronic device, you can probably find a 'clone' or more properly, a look alike, because in this case, the guts of the phone are completely different from the real thing.

Yes I agree much like the Scandyna PA system I purchased in Sim Lim, I sent the pics and model number to the headquarters, after the importer/agent refused to repair something. Headquarters in Denmark said it was a copy from China, Singapore is full of copies or originals made to Asian standards.Strong Eagle wrote:Hard to see what Apple would contest... look and feel?... an entirely worthless endeavor to undertake in China. So you are right about that, though ebay is selling these phones, many are copies of the sciphone!
Which are useless, the original sciphone just as phone on the back, with 16GB on it and no apple markings.
I guess also they are used for downloading musice from apple too. the website is www.sciphone.net and there is a full manual download for the latest model, to compare. I see on your link I have been playing around with the i9b 3G non removable back, it is meant to last 3 to 5 years on its extended life battery.
Interesting phone but touch screen doesn't impress me at all, after i have tried all the touch screen computers, they work sometimes, but tend to fail more often than not! Though the pen like scriber seems to work much better than fingers.
Though again the processing power in the system is no worse than the iphone it appears, I'm more interested in looking inside at the chipset!
