Friends,
I am on S pass and my wife on LTSVP attached to my vista. My visa going to expire this feb, hopefully it will be renewed along with my wife's LTSVP. After 1year of job search, my wife managed to find one job and now she is working holding Work Permit and also holding LTSVP. Her working hours is 54hrs per week with 6 days work.. She doesn't get Public holiday also. She tells me her work is very very tough and they let her do the job which has to be done by minimum 2persons. The pay she is getting also very less below 1000 compared to her other colleagues who do housekeeping jobs. Her primary work responsibility is customer service/back office work. But she told me she had to do pamphlet distribution/other jobs which she isn't suppose to do.
In Singapore do employers really exploit employees like this ? and take advantage of the situation. ? I have never thought it will turn out like this..
I asked her to quit the job, but she wants to gain work experience in Singapore. Should we stay quiet and do the work or should we go to MOM for help ?
Will she be able to find another job if she quits it ? as the expiry date for the visa is less than 3 months..
Now, this job is stuck in our throat. She is finding harder to give up also and to take up also...
In this situation what could be done? I appreciate your suggestions here. Thank

help required on employment terms/work ethics
Re: help required on employment terms/work ethics
There is no fixed wages on a work pass that i know of, and yes many employers will exploit workers here in Singapore. SMS will probably reply soon, if not drop him a PM!SmartDude wrote:Friends,
