Looking for sailing buddy

Post by khairo » Mon, 02 Nov 2009 2:14 pm

I finally found a no-hassles, no-questions, no-membership sailing facility in Singapore. Renting out lasers, cats and alike...rates are reasonable especially during week time. They are on East Coast

I am quite an experienced sailor and I am now looking for a sailing buddy to enjoy occasional or regular sailing, I was a sailing instructor back in Europe and I can also teach a thing or two (for free...of course)

Anyone up to it ?

Hell, if you are a quarterback I am a little worried the laser may capsize !!

Never mind we shall give it a try ! Where do you live in Singapore ? R u available on week-ends and/or week time ?

Interesting, do you have to rig your own boat? Or it's already bobbing in the water and you just get into it and start sailing?

I've sailed many years back, but almost totally forgot how to rig a laser from 'scratch'.

What days do you sail? We may drop by and check it out. And which part of East Coast is that?

OP. If you are into cat sailing/racing I know on the noticeboard by the pool at Changi Sailing Club there is some looking for crew for their cat, if you are hoping to do more than bob around off the lagoon.!

No in this club the boat is fully rigged up and ready to fly...they even do the clean up for you upon return...dead easy.
I usually like sailing on week-ends but, depending on work load, can also make myself available on week days.

I will also chek out the bill board at Changi ... Cat sailing is fun !
