Job in Singapore

Post by namasteindia » Sat, 31 Oct 2009 2:19 pm

My husband is having 16 years experience in Administration Field.
I have 2 years teaching experience and a diploma in Montessory Teachers Training course also a diploma in Office Secretaryship.

We are continously applying online through websites for job opportunities but have been unsucessful in finding any job.

There as not been a single response from employers.

The deadline we have given ourself is end of march 2009 because after that the next academic year would begin and we would have to admit our son in school.

Before the commencement of next academic year any job opportunity should come our way so any guidance would be appreciated.

March 2009 (your deadline) is long over. I think if you have been looking 8 months longer than you initially intended to that is a sign. In general it is very difficult to set foot in Singapore unless one of you is a PR or citizen or you are highly skilled and can do a job nobody else can do in Singapore.

Hate to say it, but there are literally 10s of dozens of unemployed middle aged office administrators in Singapore who don't even need to learn the local ways. And they can't even find jobs. The odds of your husband finding something is virtually nil as he doesn't have anything to bring to the table that is not already available here in huge quantities. Additionally, with the recent tightening up of MOM here, it now even tougher, which you have probably already noticed if you have browser enough of our recent threads here.

Sorry, but them's the facts...... :-|
