Can I connect my mobile phone to internet using Computer IP?

Post by sanjula » Wed, 28 Oct 2009 11:55 am

Hi! I have a samsung d900i mobile phone and a PC with internet connection. The question is that if I put the computer IP on phone, it would connect to internet. Or it is any software that can make my phone to connect to internet via PC ( with cable, or bluetooth)?

I don't know your phone (too lazy to look it up). If it has wifi, yes; just look for the access point of your internet connection. Please check your manual.

If no, you will need your service provider's settings (M1, Starhub or Singtel). You can look this info up in their websites or by calling their support numbers.

Your phone does not support WLAN (wifi). The only way you will communicate with your PC is Bluetooth or a cable (and that depends on your Samsung software).

Got to have a hell of a long USB cable!

But I agree with durian :)... I only surf on my iPhone when I don't have immediate access to a larger screen.

The fact that the OP is posting from Colombo in Sri Lanka might have something to do with it! :P
