Hey,
I'm using Singapore as a base for a lot of other travels, including India at the end of November. I'll be backpacking for the most part, but since I haven't done much of that before I don't really have any supplies. Can anyone recommend a store that sells backpacks, water filters, mosquito nets, etc. for my trip? Or even a good search engine for Singapore I could start at? Thanks heaps!

Try beach road. I think there is this so called "army market" there, which sells all the camping things for the guys serving military in Singapore.

There are also several stores in Novena Square 'Velocity' over top of the Novena MRT station.

Velocity's more branded high-end hiking stuff, Beach Rd will be more economic.

Great, thanks for the help. Think I'll start at Beach Road and work my way up from there if I can't find what I'm looking for!
