Flamenco

Post by Nina A » Mon, 18 Oct 2004 8:24 pm

I am moving with my job from Europe to Singapore in 2005 and I am wondering if I could still continue my Flamenco dancing once I am there. I tried looking for dance schools specifically for Flamenco on the Internet but it seems like I am not able to find one in Singapore. I have seen different dance courses like ballet and salsa but I not flamenco.

Does anyone know if there exist such a place for Flamenco in Singapore? I wonder if any Spanish expat(s) could help me find out. Thanks.

HI Sebaz,

Thanks for your reply. I would be glad if you could provide me with some help. I am just one of those "passionate" junkie and it would be such a shame to stop dancing Flamenco when I move to Singapore.

I look forward to it.

Do you also dance?

Hi Nina,

Welcome to Singapore! For classical Flamenco, the most established (since around 1982 or 83) would be Dance Circle at Anchorpoint under the tutelage of Rose Borromeo. There is also a group of Japanese ladies who have been dancing flamenco for well over 10 years who organise workshops and performances here. You will probably be able to get all the details you want at Dance Circle.

does anyone know if Rose herself is still teaching?

I used to take her classes when I was much younger and would love to train under her again.

I think it is very important to warn all the women on this board about a certain poster on this board who preys on women. He is a foriegner married to a local woman, has two children but claims he is separated. He sleeps with his wife but tells everybody he sleeps separately and that he has a life of living hell. His poor wife is unaware of this of course!

He writes to any and everywoman who has a PM or leaves her email address and he does not hesitate to send his photos, one on his boat, and the other with his two children. He actually very proud to say that he is married and that he will never divorce because of his children but close family members who know of his flings dare not tell his wife. He is afraid that she will sue him and expect alimoney and take the kids from him.

One of the people who received a email from him is actually a close friend of his family. He tells the same sob story to ALL the women on THIS board, and ALL the women on many other message boards.

He JUGGLES all his appointments with all the girls and women on the site, when he is with one, he tell the other some story. Of course all the stories are almost believeable. When you question him about a lie or try to verify the truth or the facts, he will get angry.

When he writes to the women, the are all "honey", "darling", sweetheart", I miss you, I luv you. If you are a weak woman, you will definitely get hooked! He is VERY convincing! He is not the 'gentleman' he claims to be.

If you need proof, leave your email address here, I will send you all the proof you need. He is supposed to be a businessman but do you think a businessman like this can be honest? Dishonest in personal life, you think he can be honest in business?

He claims he wants to meet lots of women all over the world and that one of his hobbies is dancing!

And I think its incredibly important YOU understand that posting on this forum ONCE is more than enough of your silly warning.

Moderators, any chance of removing the other 15 or so posts this troll has been leaving all over the place?

Wah! Except for those teeny boppers still wet behind the ears, I'll bet women these days are not that gullible
