DIY shops like Praktika/OBI?

Post by LeeGirlGib » Tue, 20 Oct 2009 5:17 pm

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows whether there are huge DIY shops that sell all the things required to build a house. Things like tiles to laminate and wooden planks. Something similar to Praktika or OBI in Germany. Thanks!
p.s. I have seen Home Fix, but they are way too small. They don't sell much.

Check out Homely Hardware Supercentre on my links page. Almost to the bottom of the centre column under D.I.Y. / Hardware stores. It's the closest you will come to a big box store.

The Handyman centre is good for finding the strange, obscure, or just not available in Singapore anywhere else. Their address is there as well. Ubi Ave 1 & 2 around Eunos is good for lots of stuff but in different shops but worth a morning of wandering around to get a lay of the land, (it also near to Homely as well).

It's a start anyway. Timber merchants are dotted all over the island.
