Cost of living in singapore

Post by Harishankar.Kailasam » Tue, 20 Oct 2009 2:41 pm

Dear all

Am a new member, Harish from India, working in Doha Qatar. Am considering an opening with a consultant in SG to be deputed in a bank.

Am 27 yrs old and married with 2 kids and am planning to take my family with me. I will have to rent a car also.

Please let me know what is the minimum salary that is should expect to save good money and afford a decent living in SG. My son is 2.6 yrs old and will need to go to school and we are expecting to have second baby in April 2009.

Currently i earn around 5000 USD = 7000 SGD. If i ask for 9000 SGD will it be enough. Considering my requirements above how much will i be able to save,

Pl do advise me .

Thanks and Regards
Harish[/b]

You will probably be lucky to get offered 5k SGD/mo at the moment. But who knows, stranger things have happened. Go for broke, the most they can do is say no. (Well, they could burst out laughing and then say no). Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Cost of living? Did you try using the search function for this site? Lots of information already here. :-|
