Washing Machine Repair

Post by jjk » Tue, 20 Oct 2009 9:51 am

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.

My washing machine (top load) is 2+ yrs old. But it just stopped working. The indicator lights are on as normal etc, but it does not wash. Think I'll need to find someone to check on it. Does anyone know where I can get such contacts? Thanks!

I have used a fellow for a few years now for appliance repair... seems good to me and reasonably priced. YMMV. Not affiliated, yada, yada, woof, woof.

Washing machine/ home appliance repair

Post by AliB » Tue, 22 Feb 2011 9:24 am

I recently had a Whirlpool washing machine breakdown and there seems to be no Whirlpool headoffice or service centre in Singapore. After calling numerous small 'electrical repair businesses', whose telephone manners did not inspire confidence, I finally found a brilliant solution. NTUC Home Repairs offers brilliant service, not only to policy holders but to anybody who calls. They contact legitimate service providers and guarantee a call back within half an hour. They even offer a 90 day warrantee on any work done. The repair men called and arrived on time, provided excellent service, and when my washing machine needed replacing, a new one was delivered and installed for a competitive price. I was not charged any call out or labour fee. I would highly recommend this service for any kind of home repair.

On a normal day, I would really suspect this as spam and in all probability it most likely is. I'd be willing to almost bet AliB isn't related to Ali G but is in fact a washing machine repair person who is on NTUC's call list.

But, seeing that all he has done is reposted the same link that I posted early on in this thread I'm gonna let it be.

But the clock it tic....toc....ing.

Bloody inconvenient hours for a service centre I'd say.
