Their sandwiches are okay, and make a bloody change from all the food courts, unhealthy food! I've tried the vietnamese food at the food exhibitions and i say, they have a lot to offer! Just need some guidance.

Though I took a refugee into my home back in the 80's he was a nice kid, though I couldn't stand the way he cooked the chicken, the smell was overpowering and scared off all my talent when i was single

I'm so happy when i see him today when i visit Denmark and we can communicate, at that time it was body language and pictures.

Vietnam is a good Country and the people are remarkably easy going that i have seen, they will prosper and Vietnam is marked for business ventures.

I can tell you that when I took other skills with my union , when i was a manual worker, that vietnamese are one of the most talented at woodwork that i have seen in the world, I'm talking about just a few refugees, not businesses, what they can do with handcraft is so detailed and passionate.

They have my vote over any day of the week for what they have been through

You should be proud of yourself, it's not easy to settle in Singapore for some people, it shows you have the determination to succeed in life, and that is a blessing for your family. I wish you all good health and fortune for 2010. Maybe we can have a coffee one day and discuss the opportunities around us!

@ksl: that's will be great! drop me an email me if you want [email protected]. Alternatively, is there any offline meeting, party that we can join together? Actually, my husband is an IT engineer, he also wants to venture out. I am just finished my postgrad study but I am not the per se scientist who has to be very devoted. Anyway, I on the one hand want to follow research for a while, on the other hand want to do some side business to improve family's finance. This is the juncture for me to do some small things before coming back to research.

I have another idea of running summer English Camp for non-native English spoken students in Spore. For me this project is quite feasible. My aim is to provide students chances to visit Spore and improve English speaking through games. I will not send them to classes, I want to provide interactive lessons through games. There are many places in Spore can facilitate that (Science center, zoo, sentosa and so on)

I am getting 3 other friends, one is a licenced tour guide cum Msc of English (NUS), one is working for an event company (NUS alumnus) and one is finishing her postgrad in UK today :D, will be coming here soon. What I want for more are partners who are really good in English help me to develop/invent English games.

This is a small idea, simple service but if we can make it good (or as I am day-dreaming) we can earn. Just imagine how big the need of learning English among Asian students. My English is bad as you can see, that's also a motivation behind:D.

Btw, what are you doing, ksl?
