Infantcare Centres in the West

Post by yipinglim » Fri, 16 Oct 2009 3:42 pm

Hi,

My wife is going back to work soon and we are looking for a centre to place our son in for full day infantcare. He will be about 6 months old by the time my wife goes back to work full-time.

I've found and shortlisted a couple of places via the MCYS website, and was wondering whether anyone had any feedback on the following places:

Agape Little Uni @ NTU Alumni

Learning Vision @ NUS

Little Skool-House @ 170 Ghim Moh Rd

These ones are the closest to my lab at Biopolis, so would be the most convenient for us in terms of location.

Any feedback on these few centres would be greatly appreciated, and if you have any other to recommend in the general vicinity, I would love to hear your recommendations.

Thanks!

Anyone? No one has placed their children in infantcare centers before?

i have no recommendations, but just wanted to let you know that the childcare centre at NUS will no longer be run by learning vision, but by little skoolhouse. they didn't have infant care when they were under learning vision, just 18months+.

you might want to check out the learning vision in temasek laboratories, located within the NUS campus. we're visited the centre before and thought that it was a bit boring for our almost 18month child, but looks great for younger babies, with a teacher:child ratio of 1:5 if i'm not mistaken.

have you checked whether the learning vision in biopolis offer infantcare? hat would be the most convenient for you and you might even enjoy priority and subsidies for being member of the staff.

Thanks for the reply.

The LV at Biopolis would be ideal, but they do not offer infantcare (< 18 mnths). The closest one is Agape @ one-north, so I was hoping to get some feedback here with regards to infantcare centers in the vicinity.

We'll be dropping by a few to check it out, but it's always good to gather feedback from other parents too.

Thanks again.
