can foreigner buy property and rent it to someone else?
Does anyone know? We don't have enough to buy for ourself as banks will ask for 20% cash, but can buy a small unit as an investment.

Yes if it is a private property but there are certain regulations. I suggest you use the search function in the forum (upper right) as this has been discussed in detail before.
