Know any Reiki masters?

Postby carolynW » Mon, 12 Oct 2009 6:01 pm

I once fell on my tail bone learning to snowboard and it was sore for some time, I then went to a Reiki person who I did not tell of the injury but she could detect that and another toe injury, after fixing the energy of the area (I was not a believer before but these 2 spots have never bothered me again).

I recently fell hard on my back rollerblading (accidently pushed over). Its not an acute pain but the same dull pain, thought I'd give Reiki a try again, does anyone know of a good one here?

The reiki that did me years ago is in Perth...

Funny you should mention it, I went to the gym tonight, and the personal trainer noticed i was a bit stiff, actually a back injury that happened on a construction site, over 25 years ago, the disc, the 5th lumbar broke up and slipped, it was too risky to operate they said, I was off work for 6 months, and moved to Denmark I started back doing heavy manual work, on the roads, laying telephone cable, which meant lifting all the paving stones, the pain was really really sever on getting out of bed, though when i started work the pain eased until the next morning I couldn't speak Danish very well at that time and had to suffer the work until i could find alternative employment.

Over the years this injury caused the whole skeletal to be out of balance, with one leg slightly shorter, the lower lumber had grown together to cause what's called a flat back. I had a free sample session of stretching, with breathing exercise using Qi Gong technique, to cure the pain, I must admit that afterwards, I could feel more freedom in my movements, he specialises in sports injuries at the gym at the community centre in Kovan.

I was feeling a total wreck until tonight, so I am also considering to do the package, imagine when he guaranteed he could make me flexible enough to do the splits at my age closer to 60 every day. Now i have been doing sports and stretching and attempting splits most of my life and have failed. If he gives me a money back guarantee, I'll do the package.

CarolynW,

This guy, paraq, is one of our long-time regulars here but you have to go the the MBA subforum to normally find him....

I'm not a believer but maybe the mindset is all that really needed.

Strange, I thought this didn't get posted as I was hitting the post button and nothing happened!

Well more strangely... I was at Ajahn Brahm's talk 2 nights ago, it required sitting on the floor so I did and my back felt very straight, I thought ok I'll try this "ask the universe to heal" (I know airy fairy!) my back and I felt a loosening of that area...

I went home and laid in bed and still felt sore and thought, that didn't work, the next day the pain was gone!!!

I don't really know what to say... but thanks for the reiki contacts but don't need them anymore.

btw ajahn brahm is speaking again next week.

I can recommend Elaine Grundy who I have completed Usai Reiki level one with. Im doing level 2 in November. Being very skeptical I have found some interesting observations (sleeping like a baby, able to relax myself get into REM quicker, sleep less, more energy) and generally enjoyed the entire experience. There are free share sessions as well so you can practice and like everything the more you practice the better results.

She also runs through the history the different branches of masters out there etc and group learning was enjoyable.

I dunno...I can speak firsthand of the usefulness of Qi Gong and think it's great, but Reiki, I dunno...

Oh I tried it, with a supposed 'master', but I must have not been a believer or something like that.

i dont mind people believing in crap... (well, i do mind people believing in crap, but dont mind people getting scammed... oh wait... i do mind people scamming the feeble minded... dammit!)

anyway, i can tolerate to see a person getting scammed... but what it really enrage me is when they use words they dont understand in a pseudo scientific context... in this case energy

they should have their own jargon of mumbo jumbo instead, keep the science concepts clean from that garbage... every time i hear or read someone using this "energy" thing for rubbish i cant stop feeling bad for the likes of Carl Sagan who 'till his dying breath was writing books trying to educate the laymen/women out of the faith based believes, his last book was specially dedicated to those pseudo scientific crap believes...
