I have never dive before in Bintan but I heard the diving conditions are not great. A lot of dive shops have also ceased diving in Bintan during monsoon period, but you can always try looking for one. During monsoon period, the dive shop only dive in Hantu.

Personal experience of Hantu, very dirty water, poor visibility. You will be lucky if you can see 1 fish. However, if your priority is to merely get a dive license, then do it in local waters now, and book yourself to Thailand or Indonesia for a real dive experience.

diving in bintan is definitely not the best thing but have to be better than hantu, and the costs for their owd are the same. (if im not wrong). Given the two choices, i'll take bintan. cheers.

I've done my Advance PADI and been diving in Sipadan, Bali and Aur. Sipandan is excellent and my planning is diving again in Bali. Consider cheap and a place to relax after diving. Anyone interested for this year trip? I need a buddy. Definitely no Hantu for me. you can only see sea horses. :D

Hi Stephanie,

Did you see Mola mola or Manta ray in Bali? If you go around this time of the year you won't see them. I'm think going down to Bali or Sipadan again this year. Interested?

Hi Rleow,
I saw Manta Ray in Bali. But the good season for Mola Mola is July, August and September...I really had fun in Bali and would love to go back there !
I ve never been in Sipadan but it looks like heaven. When have you planned to go there?
Stephanie

Hi Ste_fanny,
Sorry for late reply. I think will go to Sipadan again. The price seems ok about RM560 for 3 dives in Sipadan. Other like Mabul which is nearby the price is about RM450. the package 4D3N is about RM1000 all incl except air ticket. Let me know if interested.
